Always Check Before You Burn! (Updated at 2 PM Daily) - www.novascotia.ca/burnsafe.
During wildfire-risk season (March 15 - October 15) burning is not allowed between the hours of 8 am to 2 pm daily.
Daily burn restrictions are also available by recorded message on the toll-free phone line 1-855-564-2876 (BURN). In an emergency, Nova Scotians can report illegal burns / wildfires by calling 1-800-565-2224 or 911.

We are your source for Digby & Annapolis County, Nova Scotia Fire Calls! We post all the different types of fire calls for fire departments in Digby & Annapolis County. The DACFC Facebook page and or website is not apart of any fire department, group, other firefighting Facebook pages, organizations, or businesses. Sometimes we post other info on our Facebook page such as burn restrictions (provided by DNRR) and fire department events (hosted by local fire departments). We post condolence posts for local fire depts, also for fire depts that are not in Nova Scotia and may be outside of Canada after the death of a fire dept member. Our page admin team volunteer and post on the Facebook page 365 days a year.
